About

ELISABETH ALLANBROOK BARNETT

I took up oil painting as a way to deeply connect with nature and the outdoors, seeking to capture images with resonance or beauty. I find it a joyful practice and am especially happy when I can create a painting that connects with others.

In the summer, I generally paint in plein air, but turn to photographs for inspiration in the winter. Rhinebeck and environs are often the focus of my work, but I also love painting in new settings.
